Management’s Perspective:  Success through Diversity

The communities for which healthcare organizations operate are rapidly diversifying.  Healthcare organizations are not only dealing with a diverse demographic of patients and families, but are also faced with an increasingly diverse workforce.  This diversity is exhibited in a number of ways, including nationality, race, religion, language, age, and physical ability. It is vital for healthcare organizations and their leaders to both understand and embrace the needs of these diverse populations.

This program will:

  • Discuss the demands of a diverse community and its different care needs
  • Address the impact diversity will have on healthcare organizations and its workforce
  • Identify new or modified operational processes and services to face diversity within your organization
  • Understand strategic planning for a diverse patient demographic and continuum of care
  • Define leadership behaviors needed to respond to the needs and preferences of a broader management and customer base, critical to your organization’s financial and operational survival

Our Executive speakers will share their experiences about diversity within the healthcare delivery system and allow you to gain insight on how you can prepare and engage diversity successfully at your organization.
